A very small sampling of the tents on Playa Santispac for Semana Santa:

The Navy made their presence known throughout the week.  Besides this patrol boat, they had sailors and marines ashore, to keep the peace I guess.

Sunrise at Playa Posada:

Here’s the traveling carnival rides.   Once it was all set up and running full tilt, it lit up the beach like daylight.

Lulu paddling around the bay at Playa Coyote where the whale sharks were.  We were seeing them right where she is.  That’s how close in t shore they were.

This is a shot of one of the whale sharks that came up and visited the boat.  He’s barely visible in this photo but he’s right under Lulu’s feet.

About sryoder

Steve & Lulu... retired. Had enough of the cold wet dreary fall/winter/spring in the Pacific Northwest. Bought a boat, fixed it up, sold our home and sailed to Mexico in November, 2010. Been here ever since except for occasional forays to the States (summer only, thank you) to visit the kids, parents and siblings. If you're looking for a sailing blog, this is the wrong place. This is a traveling, hunkering in, eating blog. Sailing is just how we get from place to place when we can't walk.
